Yesterday, I stayed home, curled up under by my blanket, feeling too weak to take my usual daily walk.

The cold crept in, and the fever spiked again. Contrary to fighting it, I surrendered. I let my body rest, hoping tomorrow would be better.
I was coughing non-stop every 5 minutes, throat dry and raw, burned with each breath until I lost my voice completely. Barely slept. I ended up working~ the distraction helps combating this suffering.

But deep down, I knew.
My body was mirroring my spirit.
I had been holding onto sadness from the day before.

In the quiet moments, I whispered a prayer.

“God, please take me out of this.”

And then—something happened the next day.

The Redemption: Instant 360

Lo and behold, today was a complete 360. I felt better. I had a haircut appointment in the morning—it’s been a while, and I was craving a new style.
A much-needed push to step outside again, no matter what I was feeling inside.

A little glam for thyself when the spirit is down is a sure way to lift things up.

…And lift it did.

My stylist was one of the best in Valencia. I dug through Google to find him, and let me tell you, it was worth the search.

The result?

I absolutely love it. She’s a layered girl now!

Turns out, the senior stylist was the owner of the salon.

I continue my day strolling through the city of Valencia, Russafa mercat, and San Francesc, feeling really really good.
Turns out I am way much better outside than at home. It was an instant mood boost I couldn’t explain.
See you there.
