You can't break a cage you can't see. This phase maps every dependency your current life has on your employer ~ income, location, schedule, identity ~ and gives you a clear picture of what actually needs to change.
Most people can name their symptoms ~ tired, underpaid, stuck ~ but can't name their actual constraints. This lesson walks you through mapping every dependency your current life has on your employer: income, location, schedule, identity, and legal status. The result is a complete picture of what's actually holding you. You cannot break a cage you cannot see.
The cage is comfortable. That's the point. This lesson calculates the real cost of staying another year, another three, another five ~ not just in income foregone, but in optionality lost, leverage unbuilt, and the slow narrowing of what feels possible. The most dangerous thing about a comfortable cage is that it doesn't feel like one.

The Key Insight
System 1 skills are your edge. System 2 skills are your floor.
System 2 thinking is slow, deliberate, trainable ~ anyone can learn it from a course. System 1 is fast, intuitive, built from years of pattern-matching in a specific domain. The internet has commoditized every System 2 skill. What it can't commoditize is your specific combination of obsessions, experiences, and judgment.
